Inauguration of two new halls at Royal Carriage Museum on anniversary of its opening

On occasion of two-year anniversary of opening Royal Carriage Museum in Bulaq, which falls on October 31 of each year, Moamen Othman, Head of Museums Sector at Supreme Council of Antiquities, opened this morning two halls for permanent display, after enriching them with many distinguished artifacts.

The first hall includes a group of antiquities and jewelry belonging to royal family, some of which are displayed for first time, most notably kosha of King Farouk that kept in Jawhara Palace Museum, and jewelry of Queen Farida, and a gold tray inlaid with diamonds of Empress Eugenie, while the second hall includes a group of distinguished pieces Including a salon dating back to era of Louis XV, and collection of oil paintings.
