The Minister of Tourism & Antiquities welcomed the newly appointed head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

The Minister of Tourism & Antiquities welcomed the newly appointed head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Egypt at the Grand Egyptian Museum to discuss strengthening Egyptian-Japanese cooperation in tourism and antiquities.

During the meeting, they reviewed ongoing projects, future collaboration plans, and the increasing number of Japanese tourists visiting Egypt. The Minister praised the strong friendship between the two countries, highlighting their successful partnership, particularly in the Grand Egyptian Museum project.

They also explored opportunities for exchanging expertise, enhancing the skills of professionals in the antiquities field, and advancing the museum’s research strategy to establish it as the region’s leading center for Egyptology and museum studies.
