Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met with Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to follow up on position of incoming tourism movement to Egypt.
During meeting, minister dealt with position of incoming tourism movement to Egypt during last period, specifically from July 2020 to May 2021, including tourism that went to coastal cities, where he referred to numbers of tourists, their nationalities, and periods they spent in Egypt, as well as the position of applying precautionary measures in destinations. various tourism sectors, with aim of limiting spread of new Corona virus.
Dr. Khaled El-Anany also touched on efforts exerted in framework of marketing for Egyptian tourist destinations, to restore momentum of tourism movement and its glow, noting that preparations are underway for a visit of the gathering of foreign ministers, tourism, antiquities, and health, related to promoting Egyptian tourism, as well as the precautionary measures that Egypt applies to preserve its guests from different countries.
During meeting, minister indicated that preparations were being made for opening of Greco-Roman Museum, one of most famous archaeological monuments in city of Alexandria, with development of surrounding area.
