The Tourist Office of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board in Hurghada received, the first tourist group visiting Egypt from the German capital, Berlin, with 125 passengers on board, after the resumption of Tourism early July .
Mrs. Iman Mahmoud, head of the internal tourism sector at the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, confirmed that the German market is one of the main markets exporting tourism to Egypt. She pointed out that the tourist office of the Board in Hurghada is delighted to receive and welcome tourists, and they also offered them souvenirs.
This trip is the result of the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian Embassy in Germany to restore German tourisim to Egypt, in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
Mrs. Iman Mahmoud explained that this trip comes in light of the continued influx of foreign tourist trips that reach Egypt since the resumption of inbound tourism as of early July.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, visited the German capital Berlin last September, which was the first visit by an Egyptian official to Germany after the Corona virus crisis. During the visit he held a number of official and professional meetings to discuss the resumption of the tourism from Germany. Dr. El-Enany met with the Minister of State for Tourism Affairs, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs , the Chairman of the Corona Crisis Committee in Germany, and the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the German Bundestag.
