During a bilateral meeting held between minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr.Khaled El-Enany and Civil Aviation Minister, Pilot Mohamed Manar, a group of incentives was discussed to encourage inbound tourism upon the resumption of International flights on a time to be decided by the Cabinet.
The Ministry of aviation offered a 50 % discount on landing and parking fees and a 20% discount on ground services in South Sinai , Hurghada and Matrouh airports.
Meanwhile The Ministry of petroleum offered a ten cent per gallon for Airplane fuel.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities offered the passengers of EgyptAir international flights, a 20% discount on the entrance tickets to museums and archeological sites all over Egypt as well as visiting passes.
Before the Coronavirus crisis, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities adopted a new policy to connect cultural tourism along the Nile Valley with coastal tourism on the Red Sea through providing, for the first time, a flight from Sharm El-Sheikh to Luxor. The flight started its first trip on February 2020.
