The Karnak Temple Complex witnessed the annual solar alignment along the main axis of the Temple of Amun-Ra, which falls on December 21 of every year, marking the official beginning of winter, as many tourists and Egyptians flocked to the Karnak Temple Complex to observe this unique phenomenon.
The Ministry organized a large event to celebrate this phenomenon in cooperation with Luxor Governorate, and in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Misr Sound and Light Company.
