Scientific Forum entitled "Professions and Industries in Ancient Egypt"

As part of the Imhotep Museum's societal and cultural role in Saqqara, the Imhotep Museum's Publishing and Scientific Research Department is organizing a scientific symposium entitled "Professions and Industries in Ancient Egypt" on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 15 and 16, 2025, at the Imhotep Museum. The scientific symposium is being held on the sidelines of the celebration of Labor Day in early May. The symposium aims to shed light on the most important professions and industries in the lives of ancient Egyptians, including the creativity they provided and the enrichment of ancient Egyptian civilization. The symposium also targets students and graduates of the departments of archaeology, tourism guidance, history and civilization, and those interested in the field of tourism and antiquities. The conference program includes the following: -

 Day One: Tuesday, April 15, 2025: Lecture 1: Vocational Education in Ancient Egypt, delivered by Dr. Mamdouh Farouk, Director of the Imhotep Museum, from 10:30 AM to 12 PM Lecture 2: "Professions and Crafts in Ancient Egypt," delivered by Dr. Ali Sarhan, Antiquities Inspector at the Cairo and Giza Antiquities Training Center in Saqqara, from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM - Day Two: Wednesday, April 16, 2025: Lecture 1: "Pottery Manufacturing in Ancient Egypt," delivered by Mr. Mohamed Atef, Antiquities Inspector at the Cairo and Giza Antiquities Training Center in Saqqara, from 10:30 AM to 12 PM Lecture 2: "Quarry Workers in Ancient Egypt," delivered by Ms. Nancy Gamal, Head of the Publications and Scientific Research Department at the Imhotep Museum, from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM Anyone wishing to attend the meeting should send their full name and ID number to WhatsApp number 01019569338.
