This gallery houses a large number of stone sculptures dating back to the 3rd to 5th centuries AD were discovered in Ihnasya al-Medina. They depict ancient Greek deities such as Aphrodite, Dionysus, and Daphne, and some draw their subject matter from Greek myths such Leda and the Swan, and Europa and the bull. The topics of these stone pieces may have been reinterpreted within the framework of Christian symbolism, as Greek myths were still used in art in Egypt throughout the Byzantine era as well.
