One of the most important cities of Upper Egypt, due to its unique location and its distinctive archaeological sites. It is considered a museum and an eternal keepsake of all the historical eras that passed through Egypt. Minya holds memories of the Pharaonic, Roman, Greek, Coptic and Islamic era. Tel el-Amarna was also called "Akhetaton", the new capital that Akhenaten established, and the remnants of the ancient capital are still present today.
