Today, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, approved the regulations governing the implementation of Umrah trips for the 1443 AH season, in light of the Cabinet’s approval during its meeting last week on December 23 this year, on the requirements for carrying out Umrah trips for the months of Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan of the current Hijri year. This is in light of the precautionary measures that contribute to preserving the health of citizens.
These controls included general rules and procedures and special requirements for pilgrims before and after performing the rites of Umrah, as well as before returning to Egypt and when and after arriving at the Egyptian ports, in addition to a number of rules and procedures for tourism companies executing Umrah trips, as well as rules and procedures for residency in Makkah and Madinah. .
The controls also included the mechanism of work of the ministry’s committees, the rules for agents, private airlines, and the rules for contracts with Saudi proxy institutions, in addition to the executive procedures for dealing with the Egyptian portal for Umrah.
These rules and procedures stipulate many items, including the need for tourism companies executing Umrah trips for the year 1443 AH to comply with the health procedures and controls issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to submit all declarations and health certificates for pilgrims regarding the Umrah season for this year.
These regulations also stipulate that the pilgrim must receive the approved doses of the vaccine against the Corona virus, including the booster dose (for those who have received the last dose of the vaccine 6 months), and that the pilgrim must obtain a medical certificate issued by one of the approved centers of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population. And the necessity for the pilgrim to perform a PCR analysis 72 hours before his travel to the Holy Land, and another analysis before returning to Egypt from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to conducting an ID Now COVID-19Test analysis upon arrival at the Egyptian ports, in addition to other items stipulated in the aforementioned controls to her.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities calls on all tourism companies organizing Umrah trips to abide by all the provisions of these rules and procedures so that the company does not fall under the law, and the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah may issue any organizational decisions to face any developments that arise during the implementation of the Umrah season, whether inside or outside the country to ward off Any negative aspects that may occur during work in order to preserve public health, rights and interests of pilgrims, and preserve their dignity.
