The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities is keen to inspect the artifacts at their permanent location at the Grand Egyptian Museum. 163 pieces from the treasures of the golden king Tutankhamun are coming from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, as part of a plan to transfer and display the entire collection of the young king for the first time in one place. This step comes within the final preparations for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled for July 3. He pointed out that the process of transferring the remaining pieces related to King Tutankhamun will continue successively during the coming period, according to a specific timetable, to be displayed in their halls in the museum. He explained that the museum’s restoration team will carry out the necessary maintenance and restoration work, in preparation for placing the pieces inside the permanent display cases designated for them.
