The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities issued decrees to close down 25 Hotels in the governorates of the Sea, Red, South Sinai and Cairo, and 17 touristic restaurants in Cairo for a week for violating the set hygiene safety measures and operating regulations, in addition to
imposing a LE 4,000 fine. This is in accordance to the decrees of the Egyptian Cabinet in this regard.
Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Assi, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for control of hotels, shops and tourist activities said that the Ministry dispatches secret committees on a regular basis to follow up on hotels, shops and tourist activities all around Egypt to make sure they implement the set hygiene safety regulations and takes the necessary legal actions against those who do not comply.
