Arabic Manuscript Day

Arabic Manuscript Day

Today marks the anniversary of the Arabic Manuscript Day. The Arab world celebrates the importance of manuscripts, which represent a significant part of cultural and scientific heritage. Manuscripts are texts that were handwritten before the advent of printing, including literary, legal, scientific, and historical works that have contributed to the development of humanity throughout the ages. In Egypt, we highlight efforts to preserve manuscripts, as well as the restoration of Egyptian identity through these manuscripts and the promotion of youth understanding of their importance. Therefore, we celebrate Arabic Manuscript Day as a tribute to cultural heritage, and it also enhances Egypt's role as a scientific and cultural center in the Arab world.
