The Twelfth International Congress of Egyptologists will take place 3-8 November 2019 a the Marriott Hotel Mena House. This congress is hosted by a country every four years and aims to discuss and present the latest discoveries and studies in the field of Egyptology. It is therefore considered one of the most important global conferences in this field, and Egypt will be hosting it for the third time, the first two times taking place in 1988 and 2000.
The congress addresses several main topics, including: ancient Egyptian history, the history of Egyptology, methodological contributions to archaeology, site management, conservation, technology, museum curation, art and architecture, language and literature, religion, society, and daily life.
The number of participants has reached 567, 379 of which are presenting papers and 188 are attendants.
