The Grand Egyptian Museum launched the second phase of the project of extracting, restoring and assembling the second King Khufu boat.
The project started after the boat components were extracted from the site of their discovery near the Khufu pyramid. They were resorted inside the museum restoration labs and will take 4 years to assemble. Once finished, the visitors will be able to see the boat first then view the process of its restoration and assemblage.
