The Cultural Development and Community engagement Administration at the Office of the Minister of Antiquities organized on Tuesday, 22/10/2019 an educational program in the name of “day in the life of a king “ in the Egyptian Museum in cooperation with the Children's Museum , the Education Department and the School of raising awareness for blinds at the museum. Dr. Rasha Kamal stated that the program was in celebration of the White Cane Safety Day. The blinds children of the Abu Gold Association in Beni Suef and Nour Al-Basira Association were invited to participate in this special program, To learn about the daily life of ancient kings of Egypt; their tasks, behaviors, and policy
Ms Rabab Mahmoud , the one in charge of the Disability file at The Cultural Development and Community engagement Administration at the Office of the Minister of Antiquities, stated that the day started by a tour at the Egyptian museum for blinds following the path for the visually impaired set at the Egyptian museum, the same path inaugurated by the Minister of Antiquities and the Italian ambassador 20-6-2019, The pieces were chosen to be displayed on the track is made of Egyptian stones, such as granite. Blind people can walk through the path and identify the pieces via cards written in Braille and electronic sound devices, and then artistic workshop was applied using Aswan clay for the most important kings in ancient Egypt.
