Was discovered by chance on the morning of January 22, 1989 by the archaeologist Mohammed al-Saghir during the cleaning and settlement of the courtyard of Amenhotep III temple, where he found a wonderful collection of statues of the gods and kings of the modern state, most of which are currently preserved in the Museum of Luxor.
