Loincloth

This is one of more than 145 loincloths found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun. This linen loincloth is formed of two triangular pieces sewn together down the center; the knotted top has a simple hem; the lower edges have rolled hems. Normally, a string was attached to each of two corners, to tie the garment round the waist at the front.
